Walter T. Johns, 69, of Union City, Ohio passed away Tuesday June 26th, 2018 at I.U. Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis, IN. He was born August 23rd, 1948 in Connersville, IN, son of the late Lester & Norma (Shunk) Johns. He was employed at A.L. Smith Trucking for the last 10 yrs. and was retired from Union City Body Company where he worked for over 20 Yrs.
Survivors include a daughter, Leslie S. (Johns) May of U. C., IN; son Jerry L. Johns of U.C., OH; 4 grand daughters, Chantle Candy, Gabrielle Candy, Success Brody, ShyAnne Mays; 2 great grandsons, Qwindal Thomas Velazquez Candy, and one to be here in October; 2 sisters, Bea Guthrie, Patty Lippard; nieces and nephews also.
Preceded by his parents; wife of 41 Yrs, Cynthia M. (Holmes) Johns.
Visitation will be Monday July 2, 2018 from 4-6 P.M. at the Reichard Funeral Home Inc., 400 W. Deerfield Road Union City, Indiana with a memorial service at 6:00 p.m. Burial will be later at the convenience of the family, online condolences may be expressed at www.reichardfh.com.
