Virginia Higgins

Virginia Ruth “Ginny” Higgins, 78, lifelong resident of Union City, Indiana passed away Wednesday November 29, 2023, at St. Vincent Randolph Hospital. She was born October 22, 1946, in Union City, Indiana, daughter of the late Lester and Pauline Thomas Hamilton.

 Ginny worked at the Boston Store, Wrights IGA which became Marsh for 30 years retiring in 2010. She was a Union City Wayne High School graduate.

 Survivors include her husband of 59 years, James W. “Wiley” Higgins; daughter, Jolene “Amanda” Higgins of Fishers, IN; one son; 1 grandson; 1 sister, Vicki Ruther of Long Island, NY; a sister-in-law; Kathy Brooks Hamilton of Greenville, OH.

 She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Tom Hamilton.
