Russell E. Denlinger

Russell E. Denlinger age 91 formerly of Union City passed away on Thursday June 5, 2026 at the Brethren Retirement Community in Greenville, OH. He was born on March 27, 1935 son of the late Isaac and Martha (Loy) Denlinger.

He was a member of Greenville Church of the Brethren; Russ worked as a serviceman for the Ohio Valley Gas Company in Union City for 35 years. He was affectionately known as “the gas man”. He was an avid bowler for over 40 years. Russ enjoyed playing euchre, other card games, pool, attending tractor pulls, and spent many years camping with his family and friends.

Survivors include his spouse of 57 years Carol (Petry), children; Connie (Larry) Robison of Union City, OH, Mary (Donnie) Mikesell of Union City, OH, Dan (Susan) Denlinger of Eaton, OH, grandchildren; Chad Robison, Chanin (Cody) Stump, Maci (Shad) Hines, Samantha (Jared) Comfort, Victoria (Wesley) Clark, Jacob Denlinger, Danielle Denlinger, great grandchildren; Case, Allis, Oliver, Avery, Connor, Patrick, Everett, Madilynn, Nora, Emmalynn, Bennett, Laney, siblings; Mae Fern Stanze, and Ray Denlinger.

He was preceded in death by his parents, son Ron Denlinger, brothers, Robert, Carl, Willis, sisters; Lucille and Mary.

The family will receive visitors from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm on Sunday June 7, 2026 at Reichard Funeral Home 400 W. Deerfield Road Union City, IN.

A funeral service will take place on Monday June 8, 2026 at 10:30 am at the funeral home with Rev. Dan Denlinger officiating.

Burial will follow at Snell Cemetery in Union City, OH.
