Robert Max Codling Sr, 83, passed away Monday May 29th, 2017 at Reid Health in Richmond, IN. He was born Feb. 1st, 1934 in Jay County, IN. son of the late Walter J. and Luella Glissner Codling.
Robert was a United States Air Force veteran proudly serving his country from 1952-60. He was a Commercial Truck Driver for many years.
Survivors include his children, Luella (Steve) Vincent of Shelbyville, TN, Melinda K. Codling of Portland, IN; 4 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; sisters, Wanda Besser of Geneva, IN, Carol J. Meder of Portland, IN; special friend, Marjorie Morse of Union City, OH.
He was preceded by his parents; wife, Shirley Ann Morgan Codling "1998;" son, Max Codling; and 4 brothers.
Visitation is 12 noon - 2:00 P.M. Thursday June 1st, 2017 at Reichard Funeral Home Inc., 400 W. Deerfield Rd., Union City, IN. Services are 2:00 P.M. Thursday also at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Center Cemetery, Portland, IN, with Military Burial Rites to be held.
