Robert "Bob" Lee Holt

Robert Lee Holt Jr 84, Union City, passed away at Wesleyan Healthcare in Marion, IN. He was born in Randolph County, Lynn, IN on March 4, 1939, to the late Robert Lee Holt Sr and Thanet Myers Holt.

Robert served in the US Navy from 1956-1960 on the destroyer USS Hugh Purvis and went around the world 3 times in the Navy. He had a distinguished career after leaving the Navy. He loved all sports, especially watching his brother-in-law race. He retired from the Union City Body Company.

He is survived by his loving wife Doris Jarrett Woodard Holt of 40 years. Sister Marcia Holt Skaggs (Don) and brother Ronald Holt Sr. (Marcia Pratt Holt). Stepchildren Tina Scarsberry, Tommy Woodard Jr, Brian Woodard, and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his sister Sherrell Seyler, and niece Kelly Bothast Hammer.

Visitation will take place on Tuesday, October 31, 2023, from 1:00pm-2:00pm at Reichard Funeral Home 400 W. Deerfield Road Union City, IN, with services to start at 2:00 pm. Burial will follow at Union City Cemetery with military graveside services performed by the Randolph County Honor Guard.
