My sincere condolences to the family of my old friend, Bob.  We met and worked together in the late 50's at Bucyrus-Erie in Richmond......seems like yesterday but almost 60 years ago.  It's hard now but the future will become easier when you recall all the precious memories of Bob, a special man.  I'll miss him.

It is hard to write this without tears.  I don't remember life without Bob.  He was an honest, witty, and hard working man.  I have fond memories of going to the meat market.  Bob patiently answered my questions and let me stay in the cold locker as long as possible.  Trips to the lake and visits to our home are great memories.  I was home last summer and Bob beat me in golf.  He had a short, but straight shot.  He even birdied the last hole.  We laughed a lot!  I will miss him so much.  My prayers are with the family.  I do rejoice that he was a Christian and is with Jesus.

Sending you my sympathy for the loss of Bob. The Gard brothers were my closest first cousins. I remember visiting them often at Aunt Vera and Uncle Voyle's house. So many really fond memories of Bob and his brothers. Rest in peace Bob. Your cousin Jerry Botkin.

I am sorry to hear that Bob has passed away.  He and Carolyn were such wonderful neighbors to my parents, Glen and Marjorie Barr.  There are many good memories from the neighborhood of my teenage years and the Gards were a central part of it. My heartfelt condolences to the family.

It is hard to write without tears.  I don't remember life without Bob.  He was a humble man with a witty personality that loved to laugh.  I have so many memories of him as a youngster at the meat market, lake home, and at our house.  He beat me in golf last year with his short but straight shots.  My sympathy goes out to the entire family.  Bob blessed my life more than words can express.

I'm so sorry to hear of Bob's passing.  Your family were great friends to us when we lived across the street on Pleasant Dr.  I remember Bob helping my daughter Jennifer to learn how to ride her bicycle.  My thoughts and prayers are with you.
