Phyllis Threewits, 93, of Union City, Indiana passed away May 6, 2024, at Orchard Point Health Campus, Kendallville, Indiana.   She was born on November  5, 1930, to the late Garnet and Henry Runkle.  

Phyllis was a graduate of the Jackson Class of 1948.   She married the love of her life Ralph Threewits on January 29, 1950.

Phyllis was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church in Union City, Indiana.  She was very involved with her kids school activities and volunteer  work and loved  traveling and spending time with her friends and family.

Survivors include her daughters Cheryl Threewits (Barry Hecker) of Pierceton, Indiana, Deb (Joe) Clark of Hudson, Indiana, son Steve (Marla) Threewits of Union City, Indiana, five grandchildren: Matt Clark, Josh (Ashley) Hecker, Mindy (Tony) Bollier, Sean (Whitney) Threewits, Jill (Jason) Hemmelgarn, thirteen great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and two sisters, Peggy Longfellow, and Shirley Shockney.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Threewits, son Randy Threewits, grandson Zachary Hecker, great grandson Cooper Hecker, her mother Garnet, father Henry as well as two brothers Junior Runkle and Donnie Runkle.

Graveside services will be held at Lisbon Cemetery in Union City on Tuesday May 14, 2024, at 3:00 pm.

Memorial contributions may be made to Riley Hospital or American Cancer Society.
