PATSY ANN SOMMER, 76, Ridgeville, IN. passed away Friday May 8, 2015 at Union City Care Center in Union City, OH. Patsy was born January 2, 1939 in Randolph County, IN., daughter of the late Worley & Lillie Foster Murphy.
Patsy worked at Sheller-Globe, Marsh, and Tyson’s in Portland, IN; she was a member of the; Clearcreek Congregational Christian Church, Saratoga Lions Club and the Tri-State Engine & Tractor Club. Patsy loved her family and grandchildren very much.
She leaves to cherish her memory; children, Kathy (Kent) Hufford of U.C., IN, Darlene (Bob) Hall of Aurora, CO, Nancy Sarff, Terry (Amy) Sommer, Greg (Jill) Sommer all of Ridgeville, IN, and Jeffrey (Jenny) Sommer of Franklin, IN; 12 grandchildren; 2 step grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren; 4 sisters, Neva Roy of Florida, Dorothy (Norman) Fenton of Winchester, IN, Tredesa (Larry) Jackson of Portland, IN, Ireda Mullen of Alabama; a brother, Emmet (Barbara) Murphy of Celina, OH. Several nieces, nephews and her dog Sadie.
Patsy was preceded by her parents; husband, Thomas Tilden Sommer “2012;†sister, Karen Smith; 3 brothers, Leroy, James and Billy Murphy.
Visitation is 5-8 p.m. Wednesday May 13 at the Reichard Funeral Home Inc, 400 W. Deerfield Rd., Union City, IN. Services are 11:00 a.m. Thursday May 14, 2015 also at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Weimer Cemetery in Saratoga, Indiana with the Rev. Tom Sells officiating. Memorial contributions can be made to the Clearcreek Congregational Christian Church with envelopes at the Funeral Home. Online condolences may be expressed at www.reichardfh.com.
