Molly June (Maharg) Roll, 72, of Union City, Ohio, was called home to be with our Lord and Savior at sunrise on June 14, 2026. She was born to the late Charles Ray and Mary Mildred (Yost) Maharg of Marne, Ohio, on February 25, 1954.
Molly graduated in the Class of 1972 from Licking Valley High School in Newark, Ohio, and from Hocking Technical College in Nelsonville, Ohio, in 1974 with a degree in Hotel & Restaurant Management. She was a licensed dietician at various healthcare and nursing facilities in Greenville, Ohio. She later found her passion as a bus driver and caregiver for the Darke County developmentally disabled community. It was there she met a co-worker, Frank Roll, whom she married on March 26, 2005, in beautiful Buckley, Michigan.
Molly was a proud fifth-generation Irish woman. She ensured her family was prepared for St. Patrick's Day with green attire and traditional meals of corned beef, cabbage, and potatoes. She took great care to pass down the traditions and taught her family how blessed they are by sharing how God provided all the needs for her ancestors, ensuring this legacy reached her children and grandchildren.
Molly also lovingly served her community in various ways through the years as a Sunday School teacher, Vacation Bible School teacher and volunteer, grandparent volunteer at Emmaus Learning Center, and much more. She regularly donated to Christian ministries such the Samaritan's Purse, Operation Christmas Child, Our Daily Bread, YWAM Jacksonville, the Salvation Army, as well as many others. She would help anyone in need if she could. Right up to the end of her life, she took every opportunity to share her faith with anyone and was never ashamed. She made sure all of her caregivers that wanted to know Jesus, knew Jesus.
Molly will be sadly missed by her husband, Franklin Keith Roll of Union City; her daughter and son-in-law, Nancy June (Alex) Percy of Dayton; her daughter, Nita Rae Green of Union City; her grandchildren, Tavin Charles Green and Maeva Jennette Bajaj; her brother, Joseph Charles Maharg; her sister, Judith Sue VanFossen; brothers-in-law, Jim Roll and Fred Roll; sister-in-law, Bert Roll; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Jennette Rose Ash.
The family held a private service on June 19, 2026, for close family and friends as she was laid to rest at Snell Cemetery in Union City, Ohio.
In lieu of flowers and donations, please help us honor her memory by providing small acts of kindness for those who are in need.
