Max was born April 5, 1931 to the late Dale and Pauline Hindsley. In addition to his parents, Max was preceded in death by his first wife, Donna (Livingston) Hindsley, his sister Phyllis (Hindsley) Smiley, and grandson Kohl Hindsley.
Max is survived by BrendaMilligan, his sister, Alice Ann (Hindsley) Yoder, his children; Len (Loretta) Hindsley, Linda (Mike) Peden, Lee (Karen) Hindsley, and Tye (Mandy) Hindsley. Eight grandchildren; Jared (Treva) Hindsley, Michelle (Jeremy) Stuckey, Ben (Alanna) Peden, Matt (Kelsey) Peden, Logan (Sally) Hindsley, Joshua (Jennifer) Hindsley, Ethan Hindsley, and Adriahn Hindsley. Ten great-grandchildren; Jordan (Lydia) Stuckey, Mickayla Stuckey, Jayden Hindsley, Taylor Crowder, Abigail Crowder, Anika Crowder, Myles Peden, Blayke Peden, Lane Hindsley, and Rhone Hindsley.

Max was a lifelong farmer that lived most of his life, north of Union City in Jackson Twp. In addition, over the years, he worked at many businesses and industries in and around Union City. He sold ponies and horses of all kind and thrilled many children over the years with pony rides at the local fairs. He was well known as a horse breeder and trainer around the country and the work he did with Quarter Horses and Appaloosas. Most of everyone loved Max and can probably still hear and see, in their minds, that smile and laugh he had that lit up a room. Max, may you rest in peace in the arms of Jesus.
