Marilyn June Clevenger, 89, passed peacefully into the arms of God Wednesday, January 26, 2022.  Marilyn was born November 26, 1932 in Hillgrove, Ohio, in the home of Walter and Thelma Edwards, her parents.

Marilyn was a very active member of her New Lisbon Christian Church family through teaching Sunday School, being a deaconess, camp coordinator, and singing in the choir.  She was an active member of the Christian Women's Fellowship of Randolph County, and was a Band Mom for the “Force” of Winchester Community High School for 10 years.

She is survived by her children, Margie A. (Gary) Max of Knifely, Kentucky, Lisa D. (Jeff) Steers of Kokomo, Indiana, Dan C. (Kim) Clevenger of Indianapolis, Indiana, Dean E. (Freeman Durham) Clevenger of Cincinnati, Ohio, Amy C. (Brad) Hoggatt of Union City, Indiana; grandchildren, Doran (Serena) East, Shelby (Kevin) Leverland, Cameron, Jarrod and Aaron Steers, Emily (Stephen) Gearhart, Andrew Clevenger, Reagan, Braydon, and Brennan Hoggatt; 3 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild; brother, Bobby (Barbara) Edwards of Union City, Indiana, and sister Alyce Joan (Mike) Riegle of Greenville, Ohio; and  several nieces and nephews. Marilyn is preceded in death by her parents, sisters Betty Jean Barga and Barbara Elliott, and her loving husband of 66 years, D. Carlton Clevenger.

The family is thankful for the loving care provided by the staff at American Heritage Assisted Living in Union City, Indiana and the staff at EverHeart Hospice in Winchester, Indiana.

Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, February 1, 2022 at Reichard Funeral Home, Inc., 400 W. Deerfield Road, Union City, Indiana. Services are Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. at New Lisbon Christian Church with calling 1 hour prior to services.  Burial will be in Lisbon Cemetery.

Such great memories of my time with Marilyn and her family. She and Dan were such an example of a Christian family. The seeds they have sown in the lives of others will continue to bear fruit for God's Kingdom,
