In Loving Memory of Margie Ann Hancock Anderson

Margie Ann Hancock Anderson was born on April 20, 1938, in Keno, Kentucky. She lived a life centered around faith, family, love, and hard work. Margie loved Jesus, and her faith was an important part of who she was.

Margie was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and friend who loved her family deeply. She was a hardworking and dedicated woman who gave so much of herself to the people she loved. She found joy in the simple things—shopping, gardening, pulling weeds, running the roads, singing, and dancing. She had a lively spirit, a strong personality, and a heart that made room for so many people.

Her family was truly the center of her world. She loved fiercely and wholeheartedly and had a special way of making each person she loved feel important and cherished. Her legacy will live on through the many lives she touched and the family she loved so dearly.

Margie is survived by her children, C.J. (Junior) Hutchison, Melinda Shoemaker (Les Lee), and Tonya (Mark) Addington. She was preceded in death by her beloved sons, Richard Alan Hutchison and Larry Steven Hutchison. She is survived by her beloved sister, Vickie (Don) Hamlin, as well as 20 nieces and nephews and many other extended family members and friends whom she loved dearly.

She was a proud grandmother to Sarah (Ben) Hollinger, Adam (Rebecca) Hutchison, Paul (Ann) Hutchison, Nathan Hutchison, Tyler (Karin) Shoemaker, Logan (Makayla) Shoemaker, Grant (Natalie) Shoemaker, Grace Shoemaker, Mark C. (Heather) Addington, Katherine (Anthony) Dickie, Chelsea (Mason) Wine, and Allison (Aaron) Lochtefeld. Margie was also blessed with 27 great-grandchildren, who brought her countless moments of love, laughter, and joy.

Margie was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Mallie Hancock, and her six siblings, Dorthy Jones, Thomas Hancock, Howard Hancock, Pauline Calhoun, Jewel Fields, and Betty New.

Margie leaves behind a beautiful legacy of faith, family, love, strength, and hard work. She will be remembered for her strong spirit, her love for Jesus, her dedication to her family, and the joy she brought to so many lives.

She will be deeply missed, forever loved, and always remembered by the many people who were blessed to call her Mom, Grandma, Sister, Aunt, and Friend.

Family and friends may visit from 3 pm to 5 pm on Tuesday August 4, 2026 at Reichard Funeral Home 400 W. Deerfield Road Union City, IN. A celebration of life will start at 5 pm.

Burial will be later at the convenience of the family.
