UNION CITY – MARGARET E. “BETTY†Whitesel, 89, passed away Sunday October 16th, 2016 at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital. She was born July 15th, 1927 to the late Ora and Lillian Pierce Elliott in Darke County, Ohio.
Betty was a beautician for more than 32 years, loved flowers, birds and especially her family and friends. She was also a member of the South Salem Church of Christ.
Survivors include her husband of 72 years, Jack Whitesel; children, Jackie (Larry) Curts of U.C., Ind., Kelly (Cassie) Whitesel of Eaton, Ind., Kurt (Rose) Whitesel of Lynn, Ind.; grandchildren, Crysta (Tim) Kabrich, Matt Curts, Andy (Rachelle) Curts, Michael (Barb) Whitesel, Michele (Mike) Bunch, Chad (Amy) Whitesel, Amy Elizabeth (Matt) Bailey, Brad (Randi) Whitesel, Shelly (Mark) Stambush, Tim (Carrie) Naylor, Dave (Kris) Naylor; 21 great grandchildren; nieces and nephews also.
She was preceded by her parents; 3 brothers, Ralph, Melvin and Robert Elliott.
Visitation is 4-7 P.M. Thursday October 20th, 2016 and one hour prior to services at the Reichard Funeral Home Inc., 400 W. Deerfield Rd., Union City, Ind. Services are 11:00 A.M. Friday also at the funeral home with the Rev. Dave Napier officiating. Burial will follow in the Union City Cemetery.
Memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society or the South Salem Church of Christ with envelopes available at the funeral home. Online condolences may be expressed at www.reichardfh.com
