Marcia A. Rickert

Marcia A. Rickert, 71, of Greenville, Ohio, passed away peacefully on August 15, 2025, at Reid Health in Richmond, Indiana with her son by her side.

Born on April 1, 1954, she was the daughter of the late Delos Bucher and Joan (Abshire) Ferguson.

Marcia was a woman of strong faith who loved the Lord and leaned on that faith throughout her life. She had a generous heart and a quiet strength that touched everyone who knew her.

She spent her career working as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for nearly 30 years and truly found her calling in caring for others. Her compassion, dedication, and gentle presence made a lasting impact on countless patients and colleagues throughout her career.

Marcia also cherished life’s simple pleasures. She especially loved going out for Mexican food—one of her favorite outings—often shared with her dear friend Ruth Hixenbaugh, who stood faithfully by her side through her health journey. Her beloved son, Frankie, was also a constant source of love and support through her most difficult times.

More than anything, Marcia adored her son. Their daily conversations were the highlight of her days, and the bond they shared was truly special and unbreakable. She also deeply loved being “Grammy” to her granddaughters and found joy in the little things, especially a good book and time spent with family.

Marcia shared a deep and loving bond with her sisters, Rhonda and Judy. Their connection brought her comfort, laughter, and strength throughout the years—a relationship she cherished with all her heart. She also dearly loved and admired her brother Rick, always holding him in high regard.

She is survived by her son, Frankie (Lauren) Candiano of Muncie, Indiana; grandchildren Avery Candiano, Camry Candiano, and a baby boy on the way. She is also survived by her siblings: Rick (Jan) Bucher of Kouts, Indiana; Rhonda (Lonny) Adair of California; and Judy (John) McCullough of Virginia; as well as several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and other loved ones who welcomed her home.

Family and friends are invited to gather for visitation on Friday, September 5th, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Reichard Funeral Home, 400 W. Deerfield Road, Union City, Indiana. A memorial service will follow.
