Linda McDavid

Linda Kay (Brumley) McDavid, 71, passed to her heavenly home on Sunday October 30, 2016 at Visiting Nurse Hospice in Fort Wayne, IN. Linda was born July 15, 1945 to the late Cleo and Eva (Pugh) Brumley in Winchester, IN.
She married the love of her life, Garrett Mc David on October 11, 1960. Linda found so much joy in her family and traveling the countryside with her husband throughout their 56 years together. Linda was a member of Chapelwood Baptist Church and enjoyed being a member of the “Y’s Owls.”
She is survived by her husband, Garrett and their five daughters, Karen (Michael) Hill of Union City, OH, Kimberly (Kelly) Whitacre of Fort Wayne, IN, Hope (Charles) Pettus of Saratoga, IN, Eva (Kevin) Robinson of Lynn, IN, Dedrea (Adam) Hatten of Winchester, IN; thirteen grandchildren, Leslie West, Todd Hill, Ashley Nottingham, Michael Hill, Emilee Whitacre, Anna-Grace Whitacre, Natalie Whitacre, Tiffany Pettus, Colin Pettus, Erica Brooke McDavid, Emma Robinson, Lindsey Hatten and Arien Hatten; sisters, Carol-Ann McDavid (Brumley), and Betty Miller; a brother, Dedrick Harrell; many nieces and nephews also.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents; an infant son, Garrett A. McDavid Jr., an infant grandson, Matthew A. Hill; brothers, Norman Brumley, Robert Harrell, an infant brother, Jimmie Brumley; a sister, Nancy Reed.
Visitaiton is 10-11:00 a.m. Wednesday November 2, 2016 at the Reichard Funeral Home Inc., 400 West Deerfield Road, Union City, IN. Services are 11:00 a.m. Wednesday also at the funeral home with Pastor Russell Fraley conducting services, with burial to follow in Saratoga Cemetery.
