Judith (Judy) Elaine Stump, age 86, of Greenville, OH passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family Friday August 14, 2026 at Village Green in Greenville, OH. Judy was born December 12, 1939 in Darke County to the late Julian and Edna (Brewer) Hoggatt. Judy worked as custodian at Mississinawa Valley Schools for 29 years until her retirement.
Besides her parents Judy was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years Roscoe Stump, her daughter Cheryl Wright, son Darryl Stump, brother in law Thomas Crowder, grandsons Patrick Wright and Jacob Stump plus numerous in laws, Clarence and Pearl Stump, Leonard and Erma Stump, Elon and Jean Stump, Robert and Margaret Stump, Leon and Jean Stump, Robert and Margaret Stump, Bernice and Jim Moneysmith, Loretta and Marvin McClannan, Marvin Stump, Carl and Patricia Stump, Alvin and Helen Stump.
Judy is survived by her son Dwight (Kathy) stump of Ft. Recovery, OH, son in law David Wright of Portland, IN, daughter in law Jo (Enicks) Stump, of Portland, IN, sister Phyllis (Hoggatt) Crowder, of Plymouth Michigan, brother Francis (Sharon) Hoggatt of Union City, IN, grandchildren Lucas (Kayla) Stump of Union City, OH, Kendra (Byran) Clem of Dexter, Michigan, Korrie (Gabe) Watern of Hollansburg, OH, Amanda (Kevin) Elzey of Bryant, IN, Hanna (Brady) Patterson of Deerfield, IN, Michael Stump and Alex Stump of Portland, IN, 10 great grandchildren, and 2 step great grandchildren. She is also survived by sisters in law Esta (Dick) Kiser, of New Weston, Janis Stump of Celina, OH, and many nieces and nephews.
Services for Judy will take place on August 29, 2026 at Reichard Funeral Home 400 W. Deerfield Road Union City, IN with pastor Eric Knight officiating. Visitation will be held from 1 to 3 pm followed y a memorial service. Burial will be at a later date.
We are very thankful to all at Village Green for the care given to Judy and for the wonderful work of the hospice nurses from Day City Hospice. We hope you know how much we appreciated all you did.
