Joyce Loper

Joyce Anne (Mendenhall) Loper, 70, of Union City, IN, passed away April 21st, 2017 at I.U. Health Ball Memorial Hospital. She was born March 19th, 1947 to Russell and Ruth Ann (Sanford) Mendenhall.
Throughout her life she was a productive member of society serving 30 years as manager of Richard's Restaurant in Portland and Union City; long time Eagles Auxiliary member; avid gardener; traveled extensively throughout the United States; loved cooking and spending time with family; was an amazing wife, mother, and grandmother. Survivors include her husband of 30 years, Roy Loper; children, Heather (Jim) Cox of Maple Heights, OH, Chanin (Troy) France of Ridgeville, IN, Joanna "Jo" Lizak of Centerville, IN, Nicholas (Jory) Lizak of Albion, IN; 7 grandchildren, Noah, Maci, Breckden, Taaron, Aralyn, Hudson and Harrison; brothers, Robert (Mary) Mendenhall of Odessa, FL, Russell (Rose) Mendenhall of Union City, IN; sister, Linda (Marvin) Williams of Terre Haute, IN; also her adored Shih Tzu, Precious Olivia; along with a legacy of people too numerous to count who have been impacted by her.
Visitation is 4-6 P.M. Wednesday April 26, 2017 at the Reichard Funeral Home Inc., 400 W. Deerfield Rd., Union City, IN. Services are 6:00 P.M. Wednesday also at the funeral home with the Rev. Sam Davenport officiating. Burial will be held later at the convenience of the family.
