John H Fields

UNION CITY, OH - Mayor John H. Fields, 64, passed away Saturday April 25, 2020. He was born October 6, 1956 in Norton, VA son of John Henry Fields Jr. and Janice Carol Norman Tirey. He would always say, "If I go before you, don't cry for me because I had Fun." Forever loved, forever missed.
John graduated from Mississinawa Valley class of 1975, sang and played guitar for 40 years and 25 of those years where with the band Razor, and was currently serving as Mayor for the Village of Union City Ohio. He enjoyed bicycling, fishing, dirt track racing, music and riding his dirt bike. An exceptionally good hearted man who enjoyed people and truly loved his family and friends.
Survivors include his wife, Sarah E. Conyers Fields; daughter, Sarah O. Fields; granddaughter, Piper; a brother, Bill (Cheryl) Fields; mother, Carol Tirey; nephews, Justin (Heather) Fields, Brayden (Jennay) Fields.
Preceded in death by his father, John Henry Fields, Jr; 1st wife, Virginia Cantwell Fields.
