Jerry R Ellison

Jerry R. Ellison, 81, passed away the evening of August 10, 2021 at Randolph Nursing Home in Winchester, IN. He had been ill for an extended period of time. He was born September 18, 1939 to Americus Eugene and Nelly (Farner) Ellison in Union City, IN.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, James Franklin and Kenneth Eugene; a sister, Mary Jean; his niece, Denise Davis, and his first wife Mary Jane McCollum Ellison.
Survivors include his wife, Judy Adams Ellison; sisters, Margaret Westerman of Cincinnati, Phyllis Davis of Mishawaka, Frances Best of Greenville, Kay Ellison of Ft. Wayne; brother, Harry Edward (Rosemarie) of Ansonia; daughters, Diane (Danny) Phenis and Stacy (Mike) Polites, both of Winchester; grandchildren, Marshalle (Robbie) York, Skylar (Chelsea) Phenis, Kody (Jasmine) Phenis, Michael (Armanda) Phenis, Shawn (Karen) Phenis, Eric Phenis, Jeff LJ (Brittany) Merchant, Stasha Merchant, Jesse Polites, Chris Polites, and Judith Journell; great grand children, Bentley, Gunnar, Oakley and Greyson York, Emree Phenis, Braxton, Grady, Remington and Bentley Phenis, Caitlin, Cutter and Jase Phenis, Kamaren (Jared) Turk, Shawn Phenis Jr, Landon Phenis, Brooklyn Phenis, Faith Prevatt, Jayden and Logan Williams, Cade Merchant, Branson Flatter, MaeleighJo Edwards, Cloe and Damien Swoveland, Cora Wisener, Christopher and Nolan Polites; great great granddaughter, Mia Turk; several nieces, nephews and cousins also.
In 2001 after 42 years of service, he retired from Anchor Glass. He was a 35+ year member of the AHE Credit Union Board of Directors, a life member of the VFW Auxiliary of Union City, long time member of the Eagles, he also proudly served in the US Navy Reserves.
Services will be 4 PM Saturday August 21, 2021 at the Reichard Funeral Home Inc. with visitation being 2 hours prior from 2-4 PM also at the funeral home. Burial will be held later at the convenience of the family.
