James Larry Linder

James Larry Linder 69 of Union City, IN passed away on May 17, 2024, at home.  He was born on December 15, 1954, to the late Emily Rose Owens Linder and James Kurnel Linder.

Survivors include his daughter Melissa Norby, stepdaughter Amanda Jones, brother Bill (Cynthia), brother-in-law Dan Vinson, and friend Julie Gerling.

Several nieces and nephews survive Amy Gard, Emilie (Scott) Pottkotter, Kyle (Megan), Levi (Chasidy), Berkeley (Amanda).  Great nieces and nephews survive, Anthony, Courtney, Zach, Gabe, Jaxsin, Jovie, Noah, Luke, Liam, Sadie, Remi, Tucker, Josie, Oaklie, Zayd, Zoee, Zeke and Zech.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents, sister Vicky and great nephew Lincoln Vinson.

Larry lived his entire life in Union City, IN.  He worked most of his life at Union City Body Company and was a proud member of the UAW Local 494, where he made lifelong friends.

In the 70’s he was part owner of a stock car and raced several times at Eldora, where he made lifelong friends.  In the 80’s and 90’s he raced go carts on many different tracks.  Larry was a big fan of Dale Earnhardt.

Burial will take place later at the convenience of the family.
