James Ottie Himes

James Ottie Himes, 58 of Greenville, OH sadly passed away unexpectedly Thursday July 3, 2025. He was born on December 5, 1966, to Robert L. Himes Sr. and Brenda Kay (Toney) Himes.

In his spare time James enjoyed football, listening to music, his favorite bands are Tantrum and Prankster, being with family and friends and his pets.

Survivors include his father Robert L. Himes Sr. of Ridgeville, IN, brother Robert L. Himes Jr. (Diana Rogers) of Union City, IN, sister Marica Himes of Ridgeville, IN, daughters Beverly Himes of Muncie, IN, Brenda Himes Mendoza of Union City, IN, Chelsea Burns McKibben of Pennville, IN, numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews as well as his longtime pet companion “Sassy”.

He was preceded in death by his mother Brenda kay (Toney) Himes, sister Julie Anne Himes Kennedy, paternal and maternal grandparents.

A celebration of James’ life will be from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Friday September 12, 2025, at Reichard Funeral Home 400 W. Deerfield Road Union City, IN.
