Jacqueline Sue Curts

UNION CITY, IN  -  Jacqueline Sue Curts, age 73, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 15, 2018 after a long struggle with cancer. Jackie was born December 14, 1944 daughter of the late Jack E. and Margaret "Betty" Elliott Whitesel.
Jackie attended Union City High School graduating in 1962. Jackie married the love of her life Larry D. Curts in 1964. She attended Ball Memorial Hospital School of Nursing where she graduated in 1965.  Jackie was an RN for Chambers Medical Clinic in Union City for 25 years; Director of Nursing for the Woodlands Nursing Home in Muncie, IN for 6 years; Home Health Care for 7 years; and then finished her medical career as a nurse for State of the Heart Hospice for 4 years.
Family and friends were Jackie’s passion and delight. Jackie thoroughly enjoyed watching athletics; especially when it pertained to her four grandsons.  Jackie also really enjoyed spending time at the lakes in Michigan during the fall.
Survivors include her 3 children, Crysta C. Curts Kabrich ( husband Timothy Kabrich)  of Coatesville, IN, Matthew J. Curts of Union City, IN, and Andrew S. Curts (wife Rachelle Curts) of Pennville, IN; great grandchildren, Trent P. Kabrich, Logan J. Kabrich, Austin W. Curts, and Kaleb D. Curts; 2 brothers, Kelly G. (wife Cassie) Whitesel of Eaton, IN, Kurt A. (wife Rose) Whitesel of Lynn, IN.
Jackie was an active member of the South Salem Church of Christ in Union City, IN where she served and volunteered on many committees.
Funeral services will take place at Reichard Funeral Home in Union City, IN with visitation on Tuesday, March 20, 2018 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m.; and services on Wednesday, March 21, 2018 at 11:00 a.m.  Burial will follow in the Union City Cemetery.
