Galen "Petey" Wayne Purnell Jr.

Galen Wayne Purnell Jr. (Petey) passed away unexpectedly on July 5, 2023. Was born on September 28, 1973, in Union City, IN to Galen Purnell Sr and Paula (Warrell).

Petey enjoyed carpenter work, camping, hunting, fishing, and spending time with his dog Uno.

He is preceded in death by his mother, grandparents, and a great nephew.

Left to cherish his memory is his father Galen Sr of Winchester, sister Jenny (niece and nephew Mia and Nate) Ashley of Winchester, niece Amanda (Berkeley) Vinson of Winchester, great niece Jovie and great nephew Jaxsin. 

Visitation will be on July 12th, 2023, from 5-7pm at Reichard Funeral Home in Union City, IN. Burial will be held later at the connivence of the family.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the Alzheimer’s association or disabled veterans association.
