Gregory “Scott” Smith, 71, of Greenville Ohio died in his home on Feb 22, 2024.  He was born Feb 3, 1953 and grew up in Union City IN/OH where he attended school at Mississinawa Valley High School before going to work at his family’s restaurant The Three Gables.

He was preceded in death by his parents Cyril “CJ” Smith and JoAnn Smith.  He is survived by his long-term partner, Cinda Brubaker, His two children Laura (Chuck) Wenger and Christopher (Julie) Smith, and step kids, Ryan (Sarah) Brubaker and Haven (Philip) Zimmer and his three grandchildren Joshua Wenger, Abigale and Benjamin Smith and step grandchildren Lily and Ellie Brubaker and Ameila and Henry Zimmer. His sister Jerri Dodd, brother Kelly Smith and many nieces, nephews and family members. 

Scott was a wonderful cook and loved his grill.  He enjoyed boating, fishing, card games, and his pets.

Visitation will be at Reichard Funeral Home 400 W Deerfield Rd, Union City IN on Friday March 1st from 12:30-2:30 pm with services following. Grave side services will take place at Lisbon Cemetery. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to PAWS Animal Rescue and Shelter 239 N. Columbia Street Union City, IN 47390.
