G. Elaine Bailey, 63, of Greenville, Ohio passed away Monday, May 14, 2018 at her residence. She was born September 21, 1954 in Amarillo, Texas to Ted & Shirley (Mangas) Washler.
Elaine was a graduate of Greenville High School in 1973 and earned her Master's degree from Ball State University in 1976, was a teacher at Mississinawa Valley Schools for over 40 Yrs, was a member of South Salem Church of Christ in Union City, Indiana, Tri Kappa Sorority, Toastmasters, Union City Arts Depot, and Friends of the Greenville Park.
She is survived by her husband of 41 yrs. William J. Bailey of Greenville, Ohio; mother, Shirley (Mangas) Washler of Greenville, Ohio; sister, Denise (Michael) Thornburg of Lynn, Indiana; mother-in-law, Norma Bailey of Union City, Indiana; sister-in-law, Sue (Tim) Hill of Kokomo, Indiana; nieces and nephews also.
Elaine was preceded by her father, Ted Washler; and her father-in-law, John Bailey.
A memorial service will be held 11:00 A.M. Saturday May 19, 2018 at the South Salem Church of Christ, 7126 E. 100, Union City, Indiana, with calling from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at the church. The Rev. Channon Martin will officiate services. Burial will be in the Lisbon Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
