Ellis D Moore

Ellis Daniel Moore, 85, of Columbus, Ohio, (formerly of Union City, Ohio) went home to be with the Lord on March 3, 2018. His devotion to his family and his firm faith in God gave him great strength and peace in his final days.

Ellis was born to the late Estille and Lucy Jane (Eldrige) Moore in Elliott Kentucky on March 5, 1932. Ellis was the third of eleven children and cherished all of his brothers, sisters, and in-laws.

Ellis was married to the love of his life, Pauline (Kelly) Moore, for 58 wonderful years. Ellis is survived by his daughter and son-in-law Kim and Tom Jones of Pickerington, Ohio, son and daughter-in-law, Jim and Shari Moore of Troy Ohio, his son and daughter-in-law, Hank and Lori Moore of Waxahachie, Texas.  He was blessed with 7 grandchildren Katie (Jones) and Tamir Thomas, Brittany (Moore) and Brent Jackson, Alyssa Jones, Bradley Moore, Kyle Jones, Nicholas Moore, Lucas Moore and 6 great grandchildren.

Ellis resided in Union City, Ohio for 52 years. He worked at Hardy Sheller Globe as a die-cast operator for 25 years. He was a faithful member of Calvary Assembly of God in Union City for over 50 years and most recently attended Freedom Life in Winchester, Indiana. Ellis enjoyed cars, motorcycles, Rook, and Euchre. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family and enjoyed God’s Word and Gospel music.

Services for Mr. Moore will be held at Reichard Funeral Home in Union City, Indiana on Wednesday, March 7, with Pastor Jeff Bullard officiating. The family invites you to honor Ellis and share memories at a viewing at 12:00 – 2:00 and the funeral service at 2:00. Online condolences may be expressed at www.reichardfh.com
