Dianna Lynn Loomis Dowler (Dee), 70 of Union City, passed away at her residence on Wednesday September 7, with family and friends by her side. On June 27, 1952 Dee was born in Union City, Indiana. She was preceded in death by her parents Junior J Loomis and Janis L Marker Loomis.
She was survived by Terry Dowler Sr., husband of 43 years. Her children December Goad (Kevin), Suann Wright (Jamie), Jason Dowler (Amy), Terry Dowler Jr. (Courtney). Her grandchildren who she took great pride and joy in Kahlee Dowler, Owen Dowler, Braxton Wright, Brenden Wright, Jesse Wright, Alexis Wright, Quinn Goad, Bronwyn Goad and Elikai Dowler. Her brothers Rick Loomis, Mike Loomis (Diana), Jay Loomis (Kathy).
Dee received her GED, then graduated with an early childhood education certificate from Ivy Tech. She worked at Markers Restaurant, Dowler’s Pizza and Sheller Globe where she met her husband. For 21 years she owned her own business, T&D of Ohio serving the developmentally disabled. 20 years of teaching early childhood education at Tiny Tots Tech Preschool, and 25 years of playing Mrs. Clause next to her husband Santa. She was a life member of the VFW ladies Auxiliary post #7084, a member of American Legion ladies auxiliary post #158, a girl scout leader, church camp volunteer, and helped out with kids hope. She was an active member of New Lisbon church.
To be greatly missed will be an understatement. A celebration of life will be held Friday, September 30 at New Lisbon Church from 5pm-8pm. Anyone and everyone is welcome to attend, please come out and help us celebrate her life.
