Claude Darnell Pace

Claude Pace, 84 of Union City, IN passed away on March 24, 2024, at his residence.  He was born on February 1, 1940, to the late Wert Pace Sr. and Hazel “Ruth” (Steele) Pace.

Claude served his country in the United States Army.  He was a great cook, loved counting the planes in the sky as they flew over, was a member of the American Legion Post 158 for 61 years, and the Fort Recovery Ohio VFW. Claude worked at Sheller-Globe for many years, enjoyed camping at Cozy Campground on the lake, and driving his Golf Cart around, and he was always willing to help anyone in need. He loved life!

Survivors include his daughters Cheryl Ann, Tonja, niece Denise (Bob) Stewart of Ridgeville, IN, friends Kevin (Monica) Kerns of Union City, IN, Connor Kerns of Union City, IN, Anita Cunningham (Vic Suarez) of Union City, IN, and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his ex-wife Glenda Cladwell, stepsons, Scotty Vincent, Robbie Vincent, siblings, Wert Alan Pace Jr. “Bud”, Bobby Joyce Stewart, Barbara Sizemore, Jennifer Stewart, and beloved niece Debbie Burkhart Orth.

The family will receive visitors from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on Thursday March 28, 2024, at Reichard Funeral Home 400 W. Deerfield Road Union City, IN.

Immediately following the time of visitation, a Funeral Service to celebrate Claudes life will begin at 1:00 pm.  Burial will take place at Lisbon Cemetery in Union City, IN.
