Charles G Smith

Charles G. Smith, 81, of Union City passed away Wednesday February 24, 2021 at Pine Knoll in Winchester. He was born January 9, 1940 in Thorntown, IN son of the late James H. and Dorothy Campbell Smith.
Chuck was a member of the Wesley United Methodist Church in Union City, IN. He was an International Representative for the UAW and also served as Chairman of the Bargaining Committee for UAW Local #494 Union City Body Company.
Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Judy Bowman Smith; children, Scott (Bonnie) Smith of Lawrenceburg, IN, Chip Smith of Vincennes, IN, and George Abel of Pendleton, IN; siblings Rebecca Smith of Union City, IN, Holly Denney of Greenville, OH, Jim Stancup of Winchester, IN; 6 grandchildren, 11 great grand children; nieces, nephews and other friends and family also survive.
He was preceded by his parents; daughter Kimberly Abel "2016;" and a brother, Bob Smith.
