Cathy Tieche Hall

March 11, 1950 — March 5, 2022

Cathy Tieche Hall, 71 of Greenville, OH passed away March 5, 2022 at Wayne Hospital.  She was born on March 11. 1950 in Wise, Virginia  to Joseph and Bobbi (Tieche) Sanders. She married Cecil E. Hall on February 15, 1969 and he survives.

Cathy was a graduate of Mississinawa High School. She graduated from Ball State University with a bachelor degree in dietary and graduated with an associates degree in Theology from CMI.   Cathy enjoyed growing her knowledge in everyway.  She loved to read the Word of God, the best book to learn from.  She started off her journey in the field of music,  her life long passion. She loved most any music especially music that praised her Lord! She started off her love of kids with having three but little did she know she would become the “mom" of many! Through her love of the outdoors and teaching children she began her 20 year journey of Girls Scouts. Her love of becoming a Girl Scout Leader allowed her to teach life lessons to young girls as well as learning how to become part of a team and laugh! Boy did she laugh! Her heart always resided with her family. Growing up one of five children she learned the value of keeping family close and loving with her whole heart. Even as she grew up and had a family of her own, her brothers Joe, Bill, Jeff and her sister Hopie remained close as they went their separate ways. Later in life some of her most precious memories were of spending summers in Wise, Virgina and teaching her girls that love of family grows if you allow it. She was a lover of music and this became her passion again in her later life. She was an active member of the Word Of Life Worship Center church and sang for 25 years on the worship team. Her love of many people grew as her years did. Some would stay for a lifetime and others only a season. She allowed God to use her in any way He wished as a faithful child does. Her love for her husband Cecil was unbounding and a rare beauty in time. Her heart remained with him even unto forever. Her God, her family and her love of life shall be her legacy.  Anyone who knew her would agree, she was a unique person, finding the good in all things. Being a mother was her privilege and blessing from God. One job she was so good at that everyone wanted her as their mom! Boy was she fought over by many but truly she had enough love in her heart for them all. Her later years her “baby" came in the form of fur and four legs. Her love of Rascal helped heal her grief and allowed her to continue on.  Loving God, loving family, loving people. This is her living legacy!

Survivors include her husband Cecil, daughter Wendy Hall of Greenville, OH, foster daughters; Amy Elliott of Union City, Joanna (Bryan) Fenstermaker of Greenville, brothers; Joseph (Janet) Sanders of North Carolina, Robert Sanders of Greenville, sister; Ellen "Hopie" Hayes of Florida, foster grandchildren; Nathan, Keira, and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, son; Christopher Michael Hall, daughter; Angel Corrina Hall, and a brother William Sanders.
