Brenda Gail Smith

Brenda Gail Smith 85 went home to be with the Lord and her husband Howard (Gene) Smith on October 25, 2026 surrounded by her loving family. She was born on April 16, 1941 in Scott County Scottsburg, IN to Fred and Mary Hall (Vest).

Brenda enjoyed her flowers and plants, coloring, spending time with her family, her cats, and being a homemaker.

Brenda leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, faith, friendship and family. Her door may no longer be open, but the love and memories she created in her home.

Survivors include her children Jerry (Mary) Smith of New Knoxville, OH, Gail Shaffer of Union City, IN, Jeff Smith of Union City, IN, Kevin (Teresa) Smith of Union City, OH, Kris (Lisa) Smith of St. Mary’s, OH, Adam Smiley of Union City, IN, Lucas Smith of Union City, IN, special friend Sharon Smith, 11 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren, and 10 great-great grandchildren

She was preceded in death by her parents Fred and Mary Hall, her husband Howard Smith, siblings Leona Dragoo, Marvin Hall, Charles Hall, Daryl Hall, and great grandson Daniel Lee Welch.

The family will receive visitors on Friday, October 30, 2026 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at Reichard Funeral Home 400 W. Deerfield Road Union City, IN.

A Funeral Service to celebrate Brenda’s life will begin at 1:00 with burial to follow at Union City Cemetery.
