Betty Rush, 81
Elizabeth A. (Betty) Ebeling Rush, of Union City, Ind., died Friday January 28, 2011 at her residence. She was born March 21, 1929 to the late Merle and Anna Ebeling. She was a homemaker and avid quilter. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church.
Survivors include: three daughters, Sheryl (Dennis) Thurston, of Lynn; Connie (Ken) Lauer, of Ft. Wayne; and Rebecca (Lupe) Nunez, of Winchester; a son Jim (Debbie) Rush, of Winchester; 14 grandchildren, Robert Martin, Theresa Moler, Donald Martin, Christopher Sickels, Jason Thurston, Tamara Barnes, Laura Tio, Elizabeth Nunez, Sarah Garrett, David Rush, Rhonda Blake, Angela Newman, Molly Nunez, and Stephen Nunez; 27 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Noreen Bickel, Alberta Reier, Doris Fields; a brother George Ebeling; a sister-in-law Delores Halley; and several nieces and nephews. Also a very special canine companion, Bella.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of sixty years Theodore L. (Ted) Rush; a son-in-law, Larry Martin; a sister Kathleen Poling; three brothers, John, Joseph and James; and a great-grandson Oliver Sickels.
The viewing will be at Reichard Funeral Home Tuesday, February 1, 2011 at 9:00 a.m. The funeral mass will follow at 11:30 a.m. at the St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 425 W. Hickory St., Union City, Ind. with Father Mike McKinley officiating. Burial will be at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
