Betty L Dotson

UNION CITY, OH – Betty L. Dotson, 82, went to be with the Lord on February 22, 2016 at Good Shepherd hospice in Sebring, FL. She was born October 13, 1933 and was the youngest of 10 children to the late Ernest C. and Melissa Bemis.
She enjoyed canning and spending time with family and friends. After her retirement, she enjoyed spending time in Florida during the winter months for several years.
Betty worked at Westinghouse Corp. in Union City, sold Avon products for 20 years, was employed at Sheller Globe Corp. in Union City, Fram Corp. in Greenville, OH, and lastly owned and operated a lawn mowing business for the past 15 years.
Survivors include; 3 sons, Gregory (Michele) Dotson of Dunkirk, Ind., Jeffrey (Cathy) Dotson of Ft. Wayne, Ind., Kevin Dotson of Union City, Ohio; a daughter, Jeanette Dotson of Clayton, Ohio; daughter-in-law, Joyce Dotson of Greenville, Ohio; 2 brothers, Donald (Naomi) Bemis of Versailles, Ohio, Gilbert Bemis of Union City, Ind.; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews also.
Betty was preceded by her parents; husband of 55 years, Claude Dotson, her oldest son, Mark Dotson, 3 sisters and 4 brothers.
Visitation is 5-8 p.m. Monday Feb. 29, at the Reichard Funeral Home Inc. 400 W. Deerfield Rd., Union City, Indiana. Funeral services are 11:00 a.m. Tuesday March 1, also at the funeral home. Burial will follow in the New Lisbon Cemetery.
