Betty Jean Crawford of Union City, IN passed away on December 22, 2025, at Ball Memorial Hospital. She was born on January 13, 1939, to the late Sylvester Champ and Katherine Robbins Champ.

Betty enjoyed hunting, fishing, coloring, and cold beer.

Survivors include her daughter Jayne Mohler of Muncie, IN, grandson Joshua Hiatt of Union City, IN, great grandchildren Trevor Hiatt of Union City, IN, Maddallen Abel ( fiancé Matt Johns) of Greenville, OH, great-great granddaughter Havenn Johns of Greenville, OH, brothers, George Champ of Woodington, OH, Leroy Champ of Union City, OH, as well as many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Benjamin “Tom” Crawford, longtime companion Richard Hardwick, son in law Daniel Mohler, siblings Mary, James, William, Donald, and her fur companion Churchill.

There will be a public visitation from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm on December 30, 2025, at Reichard Funeral Home 400 W. Deerfield Road Union City, IN.

Burial will take place later at the convenience of the family.
